During HTAi 2024 annual conference, Dr Mouna Jameleddine, the head of the HTA department at INEAS, moderated the second plenary session of the conference on the theme “global collaboration for a global challenge: Do meta-networks help?” This session reunited experts from academia and government from different networks and countries including Germany, India, Canada, Spain and Ireland to discuss the role of international collaboration and the potential of a meta-network in HTA. She also participated as a panellist to present and discuss the Tunisian experience in the following sessions:

-Panel 1 : Impact of global drug pricing policies in LMIC : the role of HTA and international collaboration on fair access : This session that reunited experts from WHO, the private sector and different HTA organizations including IECS (Argentina), CONITEC (Brazil) and INEAS (Tunisia) was an opportunity to discuss the challenges of access to novel drugs in emerging countries, the problem of affordability as well as the challenges of the application of value based pricing. The session was an opportunity for reflection on biotherapies’ pricing strategies for emerging countries.

-Panel 2: Celebrating 30 years of collaboration, learning and leadership in the international networks of agencies for HTA

-Panel 3: International networks on equity and resilience: Building bridges for efficient and sustainable healthcare
